PILLAR DRILLS
The drills are equipped with a safety microswitch located inside the pulley compartment that prevents the machine from operating when the compartment cover is open. Close the pulley compartment cover completely, if open, and press the power button.
Some models are equipped with a safety microswitch connected to the transparent spindle guard. If the protection is not fitted, the drill will not work.
CUTTING MACHINES & SAW BENCHES
No. The machines work dry. If you lubricate the cutter, the blade gets dirty with oil and starts to slide on the pulleys.
The machine has two On/Off switches.
When using it as a cut-off machine, use the button on the handle.
When using it as a saw bench, the green/red side switch is used.
Switching between the two switches is done by engaging and disengaging the rear pin that locks the saw head, located at the rear of the machine.
Inside the pin is a plastic lever that acts on a microswitch.
If the pin is not properly seated, the microswitch is not pressed in and the exchange between the two switches does not take place.
The machine is designed to cut with only the pressure of the cutting head's own weight on the workpiece.
Exerting further force with the hand can cause the blade to come out of its seat and should therefore be avoided.

BAND SAWS
There can be many causes: excessive blade tension, unregistered blade guides, cuts made with too tight a bending radius, sudden blocking of the blade due to a variety of causes (knots or metal pieces embedded in the wood, etc.).
When mounting the blade on the saw, with the power plug disconnected and wearing protective gloves, turn the two pulleys by hand and check that the blade turns in the centre of the pulleys (fig.F) . If this is not the case, adjust the inclination of the upper pulley by turning the side knob (fig.F).
The blade should not be over-tensioned, act on the upper knob (fig. E).
The machine has two blade guides, upper and lower, both of which have two carbide plates or bearings that must be 0.5 mm apart from the blade; if they are further apart, they must be brought closer together (fig. G-H)
Behind the blade guide is a thrust bearing, which must be brought up until it touches the blade (fig. G-H).
You must not run the machine idle without cutting.
When making curved cuts, the upper blade guide must be raised as far as possible to allow the blade to twist, the radius of curvature of the cut must not be too small.
When making straight cuts, the upper blade guide must be lowered and brought a few millimetres away from the workpiece.
